Every thought is stored on your device first. If you sign in, the same galaxy is also kept on Mindorb's server (Supabase) so it can sync to your other devices and survive reinstalling the app. Signing in is optional — the app works fully without it, on-device only.
Only what is needed to do the work you asked for: a recording goes to be transcribed and is discarded right after, the words of a thought go to be filed or to answer a question you asked, and a photo of notes goes the same way and is discarded after being read. If you are signed in, your galaxy also syncs to Mindorb's server so your other devices can see it. Nothing is kept by the transcription/AI service once the job is done.
Nobody, unless you choose to share something. Signing in creates an account only you can access. Adding a friend and using Send, or sharing a bubble by link, sends exactly the bubble you picked — never anything else — to that specific person. Your username is visible to other Mindorb users so they can find and add you as a friend.
Your thoughts are never sold, never shown ads, never used for advertising or profiling, and never used to train anyone's AI models.
Mindorb only listens or looks when you start it — tapping the mic, or choosing to add a photo. Nothing records in the background, and audio is never saved as a sound file; it exists only long enough to become text.
If you turn on App Lock, Face ID or your device passcode is checked by iOS itself before the app opens. Mindorb never sees or stores your Face ID data or your passcode — that check happens entirely inside iOS.
Letting go of a thought moves it to Old Bubbles, where you can bring it back at any time. Deleting something from Old Bubbles — one at a time or all at once — is permanent and immediate; there is no further undo after that.
If you delete your account, your profile and server-synced data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Anything still stored locally on your device is unaffected until you also clear or reinstall the app.
Export Your Data writes everything on this device to a single file and hands it to iOS's own share sheet. Mindorb does not upload it anywhere itself — where it goes after that is entirely your choice.
If what Mindorb collects or shares ever changes beyond what is described here, this page will say so plainly before anything changes.
